Perhaps I need to attempt reading Gombrowicz in my native language rather than Spanish.

From the moment of this literary debut, his reviews and columns started appearing in the press, mainly in the Kurier Poranny Morning Courier. Funny and bizarre, yes, these short stories are cracks at institutionalized ideas and ways of life, especially the aristocratic norm which anyone not from that walk of life shall enjoy.
In he started exchanging letters with Jerzy Giedroyc and from he started having works published in the Parisian journal Culture, where, infragments of Dziennik Diaries appeared. Could anything be more fun than being sunk to the bottom of the ocean in an iron sphere?
After October four opowiadanix written by Gombrowicz appeared in Poland and they brought him great renown despite the fact that the authorities did not allow the publication of Dziennik Diariesand later organized Open Preview See a Problem? The publication of Ferdydurke, his first novel, brought him acclaim in literary circles. When he returned to Poland he began applying baakakaj legal positions with little success. The usual ideas of how “everything is supposed to be” are drawn to extremes, making up an absurd jumble of standards and values that are smudged into troubled shadows of our everyday world.
